Using a razor knife with new blade, start at top and cut inside retaining ring. If light is under water only cut out enough to pull fixture out, then finish cutting the remaining liner. Save the piece of liner for future holes to patch. Cut out entire piece of liner, the light fixture is water cooled. Unroll the fixture and set on towel on deck. Inspect hole for corrosion holes and plug with Permagum. The electrical hole in the back can be plugged also but not necessary. Look at the electrical closely, can you see the grey conduit male adaptor or do you see dirt? This is an area for leaks, plug as best as you can with Permagum, this can be purchased at a local hardware store or HVAC store. It can also be used as gasket material. Time to get out of water for now. I use the niche hole for a step out.
